Emma-Louise
Seventeen year old local school girl Emma-Louise has been a regular Esplanade Lagoon entertainer performing her own material since December 2006.
Emma-Louise, who has been strumming away at her guitar from the age of 12 first ‘wowed’ tourists and locals when she was invited to perform at the lagoon on Sunday the 17th of December 2006 supporting local act The Doyles.
Since then Emma-Louise has recorded and released her debut mini album ‘Surrender’ and her song ‘Kim’s Song’ won two 2007 Q-Music Awards back in August 2007, one of which was the prestigious Courier Mail People’s Choice Award.
‘Kim’s Song’ was also one of only four songs nominated from 1500 entries for the 2007 Q-Music Song of the Year, not bad for a local girl who was only 15 years of age at the time.
Emma-Louise currently performs regularly at the Esplanade Lagoon, the City Place and the Esplanade Skate Park along with finishing school at Cairns High School. Her second EP titled "Autumn Tongues" is now available and getting excellent reviews.
