Evergreen

Band leader and drummer, Maxwell Stokes named and formed the Evergreen Jazz Trio with Maggie Nelson and Neville Hermesl, in June 2006.  On occasion, this trio becomes a quartet or quintet adding on Peter James on the electric bass and Junior See Poy on the clarinet and sax.

With their stylish flair they immediately became a popular, pitching their melodious love songs from the early 30's and late 40's to a broad based market demographic, enhanced with their contemporary arrangements of old Jazz favourites.

Vocals are enhanced with set Jazz Classics melody lines extended by creative, outside improvisations featuring clarinet, soprano and tenor saxophones across drums and keyboards, combining to create a rhythmic fusion of live Jazz, quickly engaging and holding audience interest.
