Junior See Poy Trio

Junior See Poy and his sons Tom and John See Poy need no introduction to FNQ music lovers, having dominated the jazz scene for over 20 years. In fact Junior has been part of the music scene for nearly 60 years both in his own bands, running dances and cabarets and as an integral part of other leading bands such as TAKE 5.

Junior on saxophone and clarinet, Tom on keyboards, also playing bass, and John on drums entertain with mainstream, swing, progressive and Latin jazz; the three of them are also accomplished vocalists.

Professionally, Junior and his sons, play in separate bands but enjoy getting together to entertain tourists and locals on Cairns Esplanade. Junior forms bands to suit all occasions with the inclusion of other leading North Queensland musicians and vocalists - anything from a quartet up to a big forties sound ten-piece band.
